The Future of Health Care in America

Everyone knows someone who has wrestled with the health care system. Whether patient or doctor, business owner or politician, issues surrounding health care are relevant to everyone. Join panelists for an insider's view into this hot-button topic.

Friday, May 19, 2012; 4:00-5:00 p.m.
Jonas Clark Hall, Room 108

Moderator

Margarete Arndt

Professor of Management, Clark University

Margarete Arndt studies the history of health care occupations that used to be or are female dominated, e.g., hospital administrator, nurse, and nurse anesthesia. Together with Clark colleague Barbara Bigelow, she also has challenged assumptions that underlie practices which received strong advocacy in health care management over the years, e.g., corporate restructuring, total quality management, reengineering, and evidence-based management.

Arndt holds a master's degree in management from Simmons College School of Management, and a doctorate in business administration from Boston University.

Panelists include:
