Statement
I've had the pleasure to participate in the Alumni-in-Residence program for two years, helping to cultivate young Clarkie talent into killer interns and employees for some of the area's best companies (including Demandware). Spending time in the classroom and 1:1 with the "next generation" of our special brand of idealistic pragmatists has reinvigorated my commitment to Clark and the greater Worcester community. As a beneficiary of the Gustaf H. Carlson Merit Scholarship, I'm honored that I can "pay it back" through volunteerism and supporting our endowment directly. I am extremely interested in re-engaging other late-'90s and early-'00s graduates, and hope to inspire my classmates to give back to Clark and support the place that gave us such great and varied opportunities. As a member of the Board of Trustees, I would bring my expertise in human capital management to help Clark prepare our new grads for the professional world; we live in a dynamic world, and higher education has to adapt to match the ever increasing demands of our economy.
